Blueair Adds ‘Smart Skin’ Mode to Air Purifier/Humidifier

Company enlists board-certified dermatologist to shape the unit's “smart humidity” algorithm.

Blueair‘s new multi-function air purifier and humidifier has a “smart skin mode” that was developed with the assistance of a board-certified dermatologist.

The Blueair 2-in-1 Pro’s DermaSense Skin Mode is said to protect against moisture loss during sleep by continually adjusting humidity levels based on room temperature and the natural day-to-night rhythm. The brand said it tapped Dr. Ryan Turner to shape the unit’s humidity algorithm.

According to Dr. Turner, dry, stale indoor air can weaken the skin barrier overnight, leaving it dull or irritated by morning. By optimizing both purification and hydration, Blueair’s 2-in-1 Pro is said to help create the ideal environment for deeper rest, balanced skin moisture and overall well-being.

“Blueair has always led with science and simplicity,” said Andy Lu, CEO of Blueair. “With the 2-in-1 Pro, we’ve elevated both performance and experience, designing a statement piece that doesn’t just clean the air, but truly cares for your skin, your sleep, and your space.”
